You have single handedly bred some of the most beautiful appaloosa miniature horses in the world which we hope to build on.

Alliance Redi's Applauze

Wow, what a beautiful baby is all I could think when I saw the two pictures below of an appaloosa colt born in the spring of 2005 at Alliance Miniatures. The colt's sire was World Grand Champion Senior Stallion First Knights Redi Or Not and his dam was a 4X World Champion Alliance Side Promise so it wasn't a surprise that the colt was beautiful. He was born at Alliance just a few weeks apart from the loud leopard colt Alliance Piano Man and they were pasture mates and best buddies.

I just couldn't believe that two such beautiful appaloosa colts were born to a farm that doesn't even try to breed for appaloosas and they were born so closely together. That was the year that Alliance was jokingly being referred to as Alliance Appaloosas! We were already in talks with Alliance to purchase Piano Man and his paternal brother Dotted Line and it just wasn't in the cards to add Applauze as well. So I tried as hard as I could not to think about this colt anymore. But when I made a visit to Alliance to see Piano Man in person and to finalize that purchase, Applauze was in the same pasture as Piano Man and I could not take my eyes off of him. I kept thinking how much his pretty face and long neck would compliment the strengths of Piano Man, but a few weeks later Applauze was sold to someone else and a few weeks after that he went to Worlds and won Unanimous World Champion Weanling Colt 26-30". He was a stunner with a long upright hooky neck and big beautiful eyes that the First Knight line is known for. But he was sold already so I just kept out the hope that maybe some day I would be able to breed a mare to him. Below are some of his baby pictures that show how pretty he was.

So, the story continues and we bought Alliance Piano Man and Alliance Sign On The Dotted Line, but Applauze went to someone else. Over the next few years we continued our search for an appaloosa that had big beautiful expressive eyes and a great shoulder angle with an upright long hooky neck that we could cross on Piano Man's foals. But even though we searched high and low we just could not find what we were looking for. It always came back that only one horse ever fit the bill and that was Applauze.

I kept in touch with his new owner and as he matured I inquired about breeding mares to Applauze but that was not an option. So I kept asking about purchasing Applauze and finally after several talks and lots of thinking on both sides a deal was struck. Applauze came to Critter Creek to fill the missing link in our appaloosa program.

This is just the beginning of the next phase of our appaloosa breeding program with our World Champion appaloosa stallions and World Champion appaloosa mares to carry on the future. Check below to see some updated pictures of Applauze. Our first Applauze foals are due in 2009 and we think he will help to continue our goal of "prettying up" our appaloosa babies! Applauze is sired by First Knights Redi Or Not which makes him a paternal brother to the 2008 Champion of Champions and the 2008 World Grand Champion Jr Mare!

Our first two foals by Applauze arrived in 2009 and they are stunners! We were blessed with CCMF Redi For Primetime, a sorrel colt by Applauze and out of our National Grand Champion producing mare Southern Charms Ramblin Rose. We will be showing Primetime in 2010 as a gelding. He's so beautiful we have been asked over and over why we are gelding him well it takes a beautiful colt to make a great gelding!

Our second foal by Applauze is CCMF Miss Calculated (aka Missy), a maternal sister to CCMF Mythical Jasmine. Missy has the beautiful First Knight head from her daddy's side of the family and big beautiful eyes plus a blanket with spots. We are finally getting the beautiful front end on appaloosa foals.
